Can you learn conversational Spanish online? Of course. Long gone are the days of reading through some tattered old language book, drastically trying to pick up the basics before visiting Spain.
Remember the tapes you would listen to when you slept? It still makes me laugh to this day. How is this suppose to help me learn Spanish? Was i going to wake up one day and suddenly be able to fluently talk to my family in Spanish over breakfast? I don't see how it works, I'm in a deep sleep, not a coma.

Ultimately, moving to Spain will increase the speed you pick up the Spanish tongue. Being dropped into the deep end, you learn to swim pretty fast. Although you will still find many people who speak English, unlike some where like Japan, which would be a very deep pool to jump in.
