The best way to learn Spanish, or any language, is not a mystery. This is how you do it.

First, you need a good Spanish language software program. I've studied languages with software programs and without. The Spanish language software programs will be more effective.

This Step is Critical to Learning Spanish

Your Spanish will get worse everyday you take a break from studying it. Therefore, once you have chosen a program, you need to follow it everyday. When you finish the program weeks or months later, you need to continue practicing and studying new vocabulary EVERYDAY. This is the best way to learn Spanish, period!

Many language learners overlook this crucial part of learning a language. Language is different than other subjects. It's like pushing a one-ton stone sphere up a hill. Once you let up, the stone will immediately start to roll back down. Your Spanish gets better everyday you study. It gets worse everyday you don't. Studying everyday is the best way to study Spanish.

Most people find it extremely difficult to learn a new language. The key is repetition. This is the way for the ungifted learner. Don't get frustrated when you see people picking up languages fast. You just need to work harder and spend more time at it. There is no way around it.

Repetition serves two important goals. One, it helps the learner perfect his or her pronunciation. No one likes to be laughed at by the natives or misunderstand. Good pronunciation is the key to speaking fluently and being understood. My Chinese is near perfect. On the phone, a Chinese can't tell I'm a foreigner. I am convinced that systematic repetition of the content in the Spanish language software program you choose is the best way to learn Spanish.

I have no gift for language. I did, however, do lots of repetition to make my words sound more and more like what I heard on the tape. Not just the word itself, but the tone, flow, rhythm, etc. I mimicked exactly what I heard on the tape. The result is I can now converse with ease in Chinese with a pronunciation that is more perfect than that of most Chinese. They have accents from their local towns. If a language idiot like me can achieve that kind of success with Chinese, then you should be able to have great success using it to learn Spanish.

The best way to learn Spanish is to first choose a good Spanish language software program, develop a daily systematic study plan, and finally use repetition to remember phrases and train your mouth to say them quickly and fluently.
