Learn Spanish Language in Only Two Months

By Noah M. Benjamin

If you want to learn the Spanish language, there are a couple simple steps you can follow to get there. I was able to learn Spanish in under two months with very little language experience, and have had many friends who experienced much the same.

The best place to start is with some kind of formal Spanish language education. I don't recommend relying on the school system for this because their language teaching techniques rely on memorization and very little actual experience SPEAKING the language. The way to learn a language is to immerse yourself in it, and to SPEAK IT AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE!

I started with Spanish language learning software. I spent only a few weeks really working with good software packages, and I built a respectable base in Spanish.

From there, I found people that would sit and speak Spanish with me. I sat and read newspapers in Spanish while translating words I didn't know. Believe it or not, in the beginning, I even read lots of Spanish children's books! Children's books use VERY simple language and will help you learn LOTS of important, commonly used pieces of vocabulary. The same goes for Spanish cartoons, once you want to practice listening to people speak. Spanish cartoons use very simple language, and provide some of the best practice for listening to others speak Spanish!

To summarize: use a good software package to build a base in Spanish, and then go out there and IMMERSE yourself in the language! That's all there is to it. Once you know just a little bit of Spanish, you will find it very easy to pick up the rest, if you're willing to work at it.

You can teach yourself Spanish quickly and easily, with the right resources. Find out what the top language students use to quickly pick up new languages.
