Is it possible to learn a language in only 15 minutes a day? In my quest to learn French I thought it wouldn't be possible, but then I looked into human nature a little more.
Humans are, by nature, conditioned based on repetition and habits. Let's say for example you wake up at 8 AM and go to sleep at 10PM every day. Eventually you don't need an alarm clock because it will be "structured' in your biological rhythm to wake up at 8 AM the next morning. It's therefore plausible that education works the same way. If you spend 15 minutes a day practicing the piano, after a couple of weeks you will have some songs memorized and will eventually progress rapidly. Would learning a language be any different? I think not.Just look at exercise and fitness. You could run a marathon in a day and lose 25 pounds, but what's to keep that weight off? Wouldn't you rather just run maybe, a half mile to a mile in a day, which coupled with a good diet should ensure fitness and well being over the long run? Of course you would!
Well, use the same logic for language acquisition, and think what 15 minutes a day, over the course of time can do. I know it worked for me. Instead of spending $1,500 on a college French language class, where I'd spend 15 weeks for about 3 hours a day with the pressures of exams and homework, I'd much rather spend under $100 for the same information, but designed for my learning needs and amount of dedicated energy towards the subject.
