Anyone can learn Spanish quick. Anyone who already speaks fluent English even has a head start!
Before I get into the lesson, I want to go over how the human brain most quickly (and efficiently) learns a new language.
When we were children, we learned our first (or even second) language because we were forced to. No one really gave us lessons -- we just picked up words as we went along. We eventually figured out what an Apple was, and then realized that the Apple was "red". Because of that, we figured out that other items were "red", and so on.
In other words, as children, we were IMMERSED in the language. And because of our immersion, we were able to go from absolutely no knowledge of language to speaking pretty darn well within about two years!
Now, just a little bit older, we know that first language very well. Thus, if we just follow that same immersion process with the next language, we won't only pick it up -- we'll pick it up VERY QUICKLY!
You are at an advantage to learn Spanish if you already know English very well because many of the words are similar. Learning basic grammar rules of Spanish will take you about a week if you really apply yourself. From there, continue to study new words while -- this is the most important -- immersing yourself in the language.
How can you immerse yourself? Simple -- read a Spanish newspaper online. Need something simpler? Find Spanish children's books online to read. No joke, this will help you pick up the language in no time because it provides very basic vocabulary that you can pick up and use!
This is how I went about to learn Spanish quick. I used a training tool to learn the basics (about one week), then continued to use the tool as I found different ways to immerse myself in the language for just one hour a day.
