Spanish Language Software - Top 3

Here is the shocking revelation: There is NO BEST Spanish language software available. They all have their advantages and disadvantages.

1. Rocket Spanish

- Rocket Spanish is a good software if you want to learn the grammar + vocabulary + have interactivity.

The thing I hate about Rosetta Stone and Pimsleur (which I mention below) is that they focus only on immersion. They don't teach you anything connected to grammar rules that can help you in everyday speech or don't give you any grammar and vocabulary reference (actually, Pimsleur gives a small ebook but it's not worth it). So, if you're looking for a complete suite, I recommend Rocket Spanish.

However, there's even better software when it comes to immersion. If you absolutely HATE to hear about grammar rules and just want to "get dirty" in the language, you should consider the software below.

2. Rosetta Stone (www.rosettastone.com)

As they say on the official site, it's all about immersion. Some people agree, some people disagree. Rosetta stone follows the approach: "start simple and then improve". They teach you basic words in Spanish and then you go advance. Also, they make you "figure out things on yourself" which I consider very powerful.

However, you don't get grammar reference. You have to figure out the grammar rules yourself which I consider slight disadvantage.

3. Pimsleur (there are lots of websites to get Pimsleur, just write "pimsleur spanish" in Google and you'll get some good websites)

Pimsleur is very powerful method to learn Spanish. It's basically, what I call, "You hear it, you speak it" method. The lessons are developed in a way so you don't review them, but just listen. The audio program is designed to review the words you just heard in a way that you hear them again and again and again. Very powerful.

These are the top 3 Spanish software language programs I recommend to go and learn Spanish. It's up to you which one you choose. Actually, if you can, I recommend you get them all 3. Doing so will make a powerful combination to help you learn Spanish is fastest time possible.
