There are a number of factors involved in learning how to speak in Spanish. The good news: if you follow the right process, you can learn how to speak in Spanish (very basic) in about a week or two, and be nearly conversational in just about two months!
First, I want to go over the basics of the language in written form. The most important place to start when learning Spanish is with grammar. Learn the basics of grammar and how to structure your sentences, and learn this very well, and the rest of your Spanish learning experience will be very easy. Most people go wrong when trying to learn Spanish by only learning very simple grammar, and then moving on. As they get more advanced, they struggle with basic concepts, and think the language is too hard and give up!
After you learn the language's grammar, which should take you about a week or two, set out to learn the basic vocabulary. The 200 or 300 most frequently used words will provide you with the ability to communicate to just about anyone in any Spanish-speaking countries.
Now, be careful with how you speak Spanish out loud. Listen to people speaking Spanish, even if it makes no sense to you. You can do this by turning on your TV to a Spanish language station. Note how they don't "sing" their words like people in the USA do with English, but rather they speak their syllables like a machine gun. Aim to speak like this!
These are just the basics of how to speak in Spanish. Get a good learning guide, keep these basics in mind, and you'll be learning Spanish in no time!
