Useful Spanish Phrases

By Noah M. Benjamin

If you're traveling the world, or even if you're just hanging out in your home town, knowing some useful Spanish phrases can come in handy big-time! I want to use this article to list out some of the most common phrases that you might have to use with any Spanish speaker.

The Phrases

Hola = hello

Adios = good bye

Como estas? = How are you?

Estoy bien = I am good

Gracias = thank you

Donde esta? = Where is it?

Adonde? = to where

Me gusta = I like it

A que hora? = When? / At what time?

Mi llamo ____ = My name is ____

Habla ingles? = Do you speak English? (VERY important -- lots of people do, but don't offer to speak English until you ask!)

Discuple = excuse me

Donde está el baño? = Where is the bathroom?

These are some of the more common phrases you will run across and use in Spanish.

I personally recommend going beyond just learning basic Spanish phrases. Most people don't realize that they can learn basic Spanish in about two weeks, and become conversational in Spanish in about two months -- if they use the right techniques.

This involves using the right Spanish language learning software, as well as immersion techniques that are completely free and easy to follow.

(When I say "immersion" techniques, I mean ways of surrounding yourself in Spanish. This is actually the best way to learn a new language, and most people don't realize it!)

Hopefully my useful Spanish phrases have been of help to you. Buena suerte! (Good luck!)

What's the Best Way to Learn Spanish?

By Rajkumar S

What's the best way to learn Spanish? Given the kind of learning that one has to endeavor to complete to learn language, a language CD that is designed to teach a new language is one of the best ways of learning Spanish. The fastest way to learn conversational Spanish is to give the endeavor your all- which means that you should not be hesitant to practice your new language with other people, nor should you be shy in practicing the new language. The key to learning Spanish is first, learning your limitations (financial, time, etc) and being able to link this up with the decision to buy particular language courses. Some language courses promise the world to you- from mastery to conversational mastery, and yet, all this will depend on your individual capacity to learn from trial and error and through rigorous self-practice. There is no other way to go about it- one must need to accept the fact that language is something that has to be lived and learned at the same time, and that is why one must promote in one's self a kind of discipline that places the learning of language at the topmost portion of one's memory and awareness. Otherwise, whatever progress there already is, it would eventually fade into demise since there is little impetus or force backing it up.

Learning a new language means technically going to previously unknown places of the world- because language carries with it culture and cultural practices. Knowing the local customs, and participating also in these customs is one way of enriching the experience of learning a new language. One way making sure that you will be exposed enough to cultural materials would be joining organizations in your university or community that speak Spanish as a sort of native language. These organizations would be able to point to you several avenues where the new language can be freely practice without hassle. These venues may include poetry reading nights, movies and other related avenues of learning and enjoyment. Going to these venues might take some effort, and one cannot be fully assured that one will understand completely what goes on in the venue- but that is precisely the point, without such venues, there would be little to sustain the force of learning. Also, one may also go and enroll in formal language lessons- if the self-taught approach does not give satisfactory results for you.

Going to formal lessons is not a step down- do not worry about that. It just so happens that mentoring is one of the easiest ways to learn a new language - and mind you, not every one is equipped to quickly learn a new language. It takes a certain amount of intelligence and memory to memorize new words and new sentence structures. But all the same, it is doable, as long as you sustain the passion, and also as long as you sustain the unwavering interest in the topic.

Spanish Language Course Reviews

By Rajkumar S

Spanish language course reviews often emphasize the distinction between just crass marketing and the real thing- because teaching and learning the Spanish language is not a laughing matter. To produce a viable Spanish language course, one must take into consideration a lot of elements, including what particular group would benefit the most from a particular formulation of language teaching. Online Spanish language courses are those that provide audio and video resources for those who are not comfortable with just language CDs, however, the results with any of these language programs on the World Wide Web would be based also on the kind of competence and discipline that would be coming from the person participating in the program.

A Spanish language course CD would be able to provide, on the other hand, a continual source of instruction that may be played over and over again to develop mastery. One good thing about Spanish language CDs is that they can be brought anywhere, and can be played anytime using many types of DVD players. They may also be played by legacy audio players, such as Walkman. Though CDs are becoming obsolete because of the digital age, many people still prefer the simplicity afforded by the traditional CD.

The best Spanish language course provides the following for its patrons: adequate introductions to the material, good pronunciation guides, contextualization and also, adequate supplementary material like books and other printed media that may be studied alongside the CD. Usually, Spanish language courses provide two particular outlets in the teaching of the Spanish language- audio references, to teach correct intonation and pronunciation and second is visual references, which are used to easily contextualize and identify situations where particular words and phrases would be used appropriately. Most Spanish language courses also provide copies of teaching materials in the Spanish language- though at most these would offer only so much help since without practice, the language itself will not develop in the person studying it. Spanish language courses must work alongside daily practices of the language- whether these be in ordinary situations or in other forms activity, such as watching television or the movies. The important thing is that you would be continually in the presence of the language in practice, and not merely recorded variations of some parts of it.

Intensive Spanish language courses provide a more fruitful ground in this respect, because intensive Spanish language courses focus on context, speaking, reading and writing in the new language- these types of courses are decidedly more difficult to sustain, but all the same, nothing is too difficult for the person who seeks to better himself or herself. It is just a matter of education one's self the best way possible, and seeking more and more helpful references for that purpose. Eventually, all of these efforts would pay off once you go to a place where the dominant language is Spanish- it is there that you would be able to fully evaluate whether it is successful.

How to Learn to Speak Spanish Easily & Simple Tips

By Rajkumar S

Usually the big question is how to learn to speak Spanish? This question explodes in a thousand other directions, because the subject has been developed for the past few decades that it is now possible to simply learn how to speak Spanish, without the muss and the fuss of the yesteryears. To speak fluent Spanish is another matter, though. Speaking fluent Spanish means being able to practice the language over a specific period of time without difficulty. And that is why to learn to speak Spanish fluently has been one of the concerns of language developers and teachers of the years. Learning to speak Spanish is also akin to asking: how does one teach a new game to someone who had never played it? And of course, there are stakes. The learning of new languages often have social issues trailing behind it, things like employment and the like are often not far behind. To speak fluent Spanish is taking these concerns and the method of teaching the language and relating them in a way that suits the needs of a very mixed group of clientele.

But how does one learn to speak? Speaking Spanish is technically living another culture through the practice of speaking, reading and writing in another language. And that is why, it is incidental in the learning of a new language that you also learn the culture of the country from where the new language is coming from. Doing so would be an experience that could be educating as well as entertaining, because you would then be able to connect the experience of speaking to the experience of living also. Fluency will come with time, and of course, this is directly related to the amount of practice that you would have over the course of time.

A good way to begin the process of learning a new language is getting the words right first. The pronunciation would come later, when you have audio references for such. And again, it does not stop here. Learning and memorizing written words is easy- but recalling them for conversation is another thing. Like most Romanesque languages, Spanish has different terms for feminine and male nouns; then of course you would only be dealing with formal Spanish in the beginning. The adaptations and flights from the formal structure of Spanish would be another undertaking, and my only be learned once you mastered the formal structures of the Spanish language.

How does one integrate one's self into a new language? The cultural facet of language is a rich source of information regarding integration. Acquire the right materials, and make sure that you do not stagnate by talking about these to people who speak the language themselves. If you can, find an interest in the Spanish language and stick to that interest. You may also try writing compositions or writing letters to friends in the new language, even if you just keep these compositions to yourself- that's the way to do it.

Easiest Ways to Learn Spanish

By Rajkumar S

Perhaps the easiest way to learn Spanish is to purchase a software designed for the endeavor. Learning a new language is a lot like living a new life, in a new planet. Basically what happens is that you are gaining knowledge not only of a new language, but new cultures too. To learn Spanish easy is to know the right references, the right sources from whatever media that is available. Indeed, it is easy to learn Spanish once you get the right materials. Start with practice phrases like good morning, good evening, and all those things. An easy way to learn Spanish is to familiar yourself with certain linguistic handles- you can practice these easily by yourself or with people who speak the Spanish language also. If you are training for work, you may practice at the workplace, granted that you are allowed to do so by your employer.

Learning a new language requires a lot of patience and a genuine interest to learn the new language. A casual interest is not something that can be built upon for a long time, since this kind of interest usually fades through time. To maintain a particular working knowledge of a language, you must practice daily, and you must also expose yourself to different types of media that use the language. You can try watching the Spanish news channels, and of course, nothing beats reading. What kinds of things can you read? Well for one, you can begin reading magazines and newspapers in Spanish. Do not worry about comprehension at this point in time- what is important is you are exposed to the different kinds of language structures that are inherent in the Spanish language. The meaning will come later, when you consult lexicons and you begin to contextualize what is happening in what ever materials you are reading.

Daily practice is also key in establishing a successful foothold in the wild world of the Spanish language. The Spanish language, like all European/Romanesque languages, have come from a linguistic root that has a lot of imagery, a lot of beauty in the languages themselves. The Spanish language is a relative of the French and German languages, the same way that the those two languages are also relatives of the Italian language. Knowing just one of these languages would allow you to follow conversation in the relative languages. However, mastery will not come overnight. The degree of your success would be based on the amount of effort that you put in the training of your mind for a particular language. There are many shortcuts, but you would not be able to sustain the linguistic inquiry if you do not practice, and you do not continually expose yourself to the different media offering to you linguistic practices that you can then imitate for your own personal development in the language. Now, practicing a language truly requires patience, and as you will be doing this on your own, you must exhibit a kind of discipline too.

Spanish and Phrases You HAVE to Know

By Noah M. Benjamin

No matter where you are in the world, Spanish (and phrases in Spanish) pop up all the time. Spanish is the third most common language in the world, and is spoken by over 400 billion people. Learning some basic Spanish is one of the best things you can do for yourself!

I am going to provide you with some basic Spanish phrases, as well as some words of advice in speaking Spanish.

Basic Spanish Phrases

Hola = hello

Adios = good bye

Gracias = thank you

Donde esta? = Where is it?

Adonde? = to where

Como estas? = How are you?

Estoy bien = I am good

Me gusta = I like it

Bueno = Good

Perfecto = Perfect

A que hora? = When? / At what time?

Mi llamo ____ = My name is ____

Habla ingles? = Do you speak English? (Many people do but won't speak until you ask!)

Discuple = excuse me

Donde está el baño? = Where is the bathroom?

Words of Advice

Most people don't realize this, but following the right techniques, you can become conversational in Spanish in under two months. If you spend about two weeks studying Spanish basics with a good Spanish guide, and then make an effort to immerse yourself in the language (surround yourself in Spanish as mucha s you can) then you will find that your fluency will go up surprisingly fast. Using this method, I was able to speak Spanish with people in Latin America within about two months.

I highly recommend taking the time to learn more Spanish, and phrases like those above will be natural and simple to say!

Kids Spanish Lessons

By Noah M. Benjamin

If you give your kids Spanish lessons, you are actually giving them an amazing gift. Kids who learn a second language not only retain it and remember it very easily for the rest of their lives, but they also test higher and improve their overall language ability. The problem is -- many parents don't know where to begin in giving their kids Spanish lessons. It isn't as hard as you think!

Science has proved that kids can learn and retain languages MUCH easier than adults because their brains, in the early years, are wired for retention and "puzzle solving". However, they need to approach language learning like they did with their very first language: total immersion! Kids became conversational in their first language by about age 2 just by being surrounded by the language at all times.

The worst thing you can do is make your kids go through Spanish lessons like schools provide. Not only is it an inefficient way of learning, but it will make your kids HATE learning a second language.

What you need to do is to first make a game of language learning, and secondly naturally immerse them in the language!

For game playing, I use computer software that helps my kids learn new words. They get scored on how well they remember words, and it is a lot of fun for all of us to get involved in.

Once my kids had some Spanish vocabulary down, I simply started speaking to them in Spanish at random times! I would invite them to "cenar" rather than "eat dinner". Whenever I had Spanish-speaking friends over, I would have them speak Spanish as much as possible.

The best kids Spanish lessons are those that are not only fun for the kids, but that also naturally immerse the kids in the language. This way, they NATURALLY learn, just like with their first language, rather than being forced to learn. Good luck!

How Can I Speak Spanish to Children of Mine?

By Noah M. Benjamin

As a parent, one of the greatest gifts you can give to your child is the ability to speak more than one language. Spanish to children is probably the best second language because it is very common and easy for an English-speaking child to pick up. Not only can children pick up a second language very easily, but those who are bilingual also have proven to:

Score higher on standardize tests

Speak their first language better than uni-lingual students

Retain the language for longer in life than those who learn later

What most parents don't realize is that it's very easy for children to pick up a second language, as long as you follow the right techniques.

First, it's important to explain how a child's first language gets acquired. Children are born with no previous knowledge of language and receive no language training, yet by the age of 2, they are already conversational. How is this possible? Through immersion! The child is surrounded by the language all day, every day, and the human brain, at their development process, is built to adapt to this kind of immersion.

To teach a child their second language, the best thing to do is to follow this same immersion process. Before they reach their teens, the child's brain is wired a little differently, and is built for learning. Their brains are made, essentially, to solve puzzles. When a child reaches their teens and above, they can still learn new things, but it does not come as easily and intuitively as when they are a child. This is why a baby can learn a new language while an adult struggles with a second language!

If you want your child to learn a second language, start talking to them in Spanish. If you don't know Spanish yourself, don't worry! You can learn basic phrases and vocabulary in a matter of a week or two, and start using those words with your child. Just speak simple Spanish with them, to build a base in their knowledge, and then expand from there.

Give the gift of Spanish to children in your life. It is very easy, and rewarding for the rest of their lives.

Five Top Destinations For an English Course in Canada

By Paul Michael Collins

It's not easy choosing the right place in which to take an English course in Canada. Weighing up the pros and cons of its cities can be tough - after all, whether it's marvelous Montreal or top-class Toronto, most cities in Canada have just got so much going for them.

To help narrow the choices down just a little, here (in no particular order) are five top destinations for an English course in Canada:

1. Montreal

Montreal's Old Town is one of the most attractive urban quarters in Canada. But it's far from being merely a scenic city, as it's also packed with things to see and do - whether it's in the many museums and galleries, or outdoors, in stunning parks like the Parc du Mont-Royal, Parc Maisonneuve and the charming Parc Lafontaine.

2. Toronto

What does Toronto have to recommend it as a place to live and study? Better rephrase that into what doesn't Toronto have? From the great shopping in and around Kensington Market and the reasonable restaurants on Bloor Street, to the luscious Toronto Islands, Toronto's just a place that's got so much going for it.

3. Ottawa

Canada's capital, Ottawa, is often (rather mystifyingly) overlooked by travelers and students. But for those who do go, history and cultural enthusiasts are invariably fascinated by Canada's House of Commons on Parliament Hill; there's great shopping (at Westboro Village, amongst other places), while Ottawa nightlife is excellent.

Outdoors enthusiasts, meanwhile, (as is the almost uniformly the case in Canada!) will be delighted at the prospect of exploring the paths of Gatineau Park or, during the winter months, ice-skating on the Rideau Canal. All in all, then, it's hard to disagree that it's a pretty attractive proposition.

4. Vancouver

There's no two ways about it: Vancouver is one of the hippest cities in Canada. It's a hub of cultural goings-on that just has a special buzz about it.

But that's not all that Vancouver's got going for it - what really makes it such a special place is the way it seems to simply blend seamlessly into its natural surroundings, with Stanley Park, Grouse Mountain and the beaches of Pacific Spirit Park all right there on the city's doorstep.

5. Whistler

Whistler's an undeniably agreeable sort of place, and definitely one for the student who doesn't want to live and study in a big city. Vancouver's just a couple of hours' away for a culture or nightlife fix, but for the rest of the time it's a real privilege to be surrounded by the serene natural beauty of the mountains.

But it almost goes without saying that it's the great skiing that makes Whistler such a compelling destination in which to take an English course in Canada. After all, what could be better than a morning in the classroom, and an afternoon on the slopes?

Paul Collins is a travel writer and one-time English teacher. Over the course of his many visits to the country, he has developed a pretty good idea as to which places are best suited for doing an English course in Canada.

What is the Best Spanish Immersion Software?

By Noah M. Benjamin

Spanish is the third most common language in the world. Over 400 million speak it in numerous countries. The best part about Spanish? If you already speak English, it is possible to pick up most of the Spanish language in about two months -- if you follow the right techniques. Spanish immersion software is the best way to get there.

The best way to learn any language is to immerse yourself in it. This is how we learned our first language in life, and it only gets easier as we learn more languages.

I've used two different pieces of software that used immersion techniques to help me learn Spanish. Those are Rosetta Stone and Rocket Spanish.

The Rosetta Stone

The Rosetta Stone is a well-known piece of software. It works by showing pictures and then speaking Spanish phrases. You match those phrases with the pictures. There are different activities related around this primary function.

My biggest problem with the Rosetta Stone: it moves too slowly! The program is wonderful, but I started practicing my Spanish every day and I found there was no easy way to progress through the software. I got stuck doing lessons that were super simple for me, and it made me lose interest in the program.

My second problem: it's expensive! I got the program for free through work so it didn't hurt my wallet, but yikes, it is NOT worth the price that is being asked.

Rocket Spanish

Rocket Spanish I picked up when I was looking for a program that would move at my pace, not something that keeps me trapped in lessons like the Rosetta Stone.

What I really like about Rocket Spanish: it's more than just software. It uses games, audio learning, and even grammar guides to get you immersed in the language. I was able to use the audio portion of Rocket Spanish in my car to and from work, and I used the MegaVocab game to learn my vocabulary. I studied at my own pace from their grammar guide, and finally, they have a game called MegaAudio that helps you with spoken Spanish. All while immersing you in the language!

The best part about Rocket Spanish is that I paid about a fourth of the price of the Rosetta Stone for what I would consider a better package.

The Bottom Line

If you're looking for Spanish immersion software, Rocket Spanish is going to be your best bet.

The Best Places to Learn Spanish Online?

By Noah M. Benjamin

If you learn Spanish on line, you will likely be ahead of just about anyone else trying to learn Spanish. The reason for this is because of all the great resources available online for learning Spanish. However, the resources I'm referring to are likely not the ones you're thinking of. I used them to learn conversational Spanish in under two months, though, and you can too!

First, I want you to think back to when you were born. (I know, may be a little hard, but use your imagination.) You didn't speak any kind of language. In fact, you had a very basic brain. But within two years, without any real instruction, you were conversational in your first language.

How did you do this? Simple: you surrounded yourself with the language 24/7, and as a result, your brain forced you to learn the language!

Follow this principle with Spanish, but utilize the knowledge of language you have now, and you can learn Spanish in TWO MONTHS instead of two years! You don't even have to immerse yourself 24/7 to make it work.

First, learn the basics of Spanish. I recommend spending a couple weeks with a good piece of Spanish learning software or audio programs that you can listen to in your car as you drive to and from places. Learn Spanish grammar very well, and learn the basic 100 or so words you'll need to get by at first.

Next: just immerse yourself online! Go to a free video site like YouTube and find Spanish TV shows. Better yet, find Spanish children's shows, since they use very basic language and will teach you necessary vocabulary. This is no joke!

This is just the first step in using the Internet to most effectively learn Spanish. Simply put: learn the basics and then find ways to immerse yourself! There are plenty of things to watch and read in Spanish. I was able to learn Spanish on line in about two months using this method.

Teach Your Kids Spanish Online?

By Noah M. Benjamin

There are countless advantages to teaching your kids Spanish, especially when you can easily teach your kids Spanish online. Studies have shown that bilingual children speak their native language better, are more likely to retain all their languages for life, and score higher on standardized tests. So take advantage of your Internet connection and use these tips to teach your kids Spanish!

Your kid learned their first language by age 2 without any language lessons. They simply immersed themselves in the language and their brains forced them to learn it. This should be no different for your child's second language!

One of the best tips I can give you is to get a good piece of Spanish learning software that uses games to learn new words. For example, I use software with my children that flashes pictures and words on the screen, and scores them higher if they answer correctly on the first try, a little lower if on the second try, a little lower on the third, and so on. They love playing this game and trying to improve their scores!

Once your child knows some Spanish vocabulary, I recommend getting them involved in two more free online resources: Spanish children's books and Spanish cartoons! Most English-speaking people don't realize that they can view Spanish children's books online for free. Sit down and read one of these with your child and help them learn new words and Spanish grammar. Secondly, there are hours and hours and HOURS of kid's Spanish content available on video sharing sites like YouTube. These videos will help your child learn to understand spoken Spanish.

Use the right resources and you can teach your kids Spanish online. Good luck!

Spanish to Kids

By Noah M. Benjamin

It's hard to begin describing the benefits of teaching Spanish to kids. To make a quick list, it has been proven that kids who learn a second language like Spanish:

Are more proficient with their first language

Retain the second language longer than those who learn later in life

Score higher on standardized tests than uni-lingual kids

Especially in a globalizing economy, one of the best things you can do for your kids is to teach them a second language.

But start young! The human brain is best built for learning, solving, and retaining patterns -- basically, learning a language -- before the child's teen years.

Think to when your child learned their first language. They were conversational by age two, but had no prior knowledge of language and no formal training. This is because they went through a period of total immersion in the language, and their brain forced itself to adapt and learn!

The best way to teach your kid a second language is not through formal lessons, like in school. It has been shown that the absolute best way to teach a child a second language is the way they learned their first language: immersion!

This means simply speaking to your child in Spanish. Don't know Spanish yourself? Don't worry -- it's completely possible to learn enough basic Spanish to get started with your child within about two weeks.

Also, if you have a nanny or baby sitter, make sure he or she speaks Spanish! It is not hard to find someone who does. Have them speak Spanish only when with your child.

Following this immersion method, the same method your child used to learn their first language, will result in them picking up Spanish very quickly.

Teaching Spanish to kids, especially at a young age, is one of the best ideas a parent can have. It will benefit not only your child for years to come, but will be a blessing for you, the parent, too. Good luck!

Spanish - Toddlers Can Learn it Too?

By Noah M. Benjamin

The best gift a parent can give their child is the ability to speak a second language, like Spanish. The best time to teach a new language, like Spanish, is when a child is a toddler. Teaching a second language has been proven to not only strengthen a child's ability in their first language, but it also:

Leads to higher scores on standardized tests when they're older

Better retention of language

Better memory

And many more benefits.

To understand why "toddler time" is the best time to learn a second language, it's important to go over how a first language is acquired. Think about when your child was born. Obviously, they couldn't speak any language, and going through formal language training with them would be a waste of time. But, after about two years, your child was conversational in their first language!

How did this happen? Through the process of language immersion. The child's brain is wired to, essentially, solve puzzles at such a young age. This is why children, before their teens, are able to pick up on patterns and learn new processes very easily. This ability is at its strongest from ages 0-5, and then slowly goes down from 6-12.

The best way to give your child the benefit of a second language is to take advantage of this brain development time, and start when they're toddlers. Simply follow the same "language immersion" process that you inadvertently used to teach them their first language!

Instead of asking your child if they want to eat an orange, ask them if they want to eat a "naranja". Sprinkle the Spanish language throughout their every day lives. See if you can get a baby sitter or nanny or who speaks Spanish, and will only speak Spanish when they are around your toddler.

If you don't know any Spanish yourself, don't worry! You can pick up enough useful phrases and words in the language within about two weeks that you can use to start benefitting your toddler right away.

The best time to teach Spanish to a child is when they're a toddler. Take advantage of this age and help your child grow to their best potential. Good luck!

Spanish Games For Kids

By Noah M. Benjamin

Learning Spanish has numerous of amazing benefits for children, and Spanish games for kids are one of the best ways for children to learn Spanish. As long as Spanish learning is made fun or natural, a child will have no problem with it. I use a few different Spanish games with my kids that have worked wonders in helping them learn Spanish. They are listed in this article.

The best way for a child to learn another language is just like they learned their first language -- through immersion. All people learned their first language by simply being surrounded by it, and by age two, we were almost all basically conversational. Use these same immersion techniques, but with twists, and your child will excel with their second language as well.

My kids' favorite Spanish game is a word game we play. We use computer software that flashes an item on the screen, and we have to figure out what the word is. We get more points if we guess it right on the first try, less on the second try, even less on the third try, and so on. I make sure to play along with my kids to keep them interested, but they usually end up taking over my computer and playing it by themselves!

Of course, word games can also be played with physical flash cards. You will have to keep score manually.

I also make a game of speaking to my children randomly in Spanish, and the first to give me the correct response -- in Spanish -- wins a prize, for example the "master chair" at dinner that night. If you don't know Spanish yourself, I would recommend making a similar game with Spanish learning software -- have them do a lesson together and make a similar competition.

Whatever method you choose, if you just use Spanish games for kids and make Spanish learning fun for your children, they will naturally immerse themselves in it and will pick up the language in a very short amount of time. Good luck!

Spanish For Kids - Free

By Noah M. Benjamin

There ways to learn Spanish for kids, free, and what may surprise you is that these free methods are actually the best way for your kids to learn Spanish! Kids are able to pick up languages remarkably fast, if they are just exposed to them properly. Try out some of these free methods of learning Spanish for kids.

Before getting into these methods, I want to explain how children best learn a new language. Your child learned his or her very first language without any training, and in fact, without any prior knowledge of language at all. How did this happen? Simple -- your child was IMMERSED in the language all day, every day, and his or her brain forced them to learn the language! This is no different for the child's second language.

Find a way to immerse your kid in his or her second language and they will learn Spanish very quickly. Many immersion techniques are actually free.

1. If you have a nanny or baby sitter, make sure he or she speaks Spanish! This is very easy to find. There are also foreign exchange programs where, if you just put up a student, they will be a permanent nanny or baby sitter for a specific period of time for you. Many of these programs can get English/Spanish speaking students from Central and South America. Have your baby sitter speak to your children in ONLY Spanish. They will pick up the language VERY quickly this way.

2. Have a Spanish-speaking relative stay with you for a week or longer. Have that relative speak to your children only in Spanish.

3. Find a list of Spanish words and their translations online, and play flash card games with your kids. Make a game out of learning Spanish words! If your kids learn basic Spanish words and have fun doing it, they are more likely to retain those words for the rest of their lives.

Those are three of the ways I helped to teach Spanish for my kids free. Find ways to immerse your kids in the language and they will learn very rapidly!

Spanish For Kids

By Noah M. Benjamin

Spanish for kids is a very important subject in my household! What most parents don't know is that young children can learn languages much easier than adults. Most research on the development of the human brain shows that, as the brain is in its earliest growing phases, it is able to retain and figure out patterns much easier. And that is exactly how the brain sees another language, like Spanish: as a set of patterns to pick up and learn!

Think about how a child learns his or her very first language. They don't get formal training. They just surround themselves with the language 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. After only two years, they are conversational in that language.

The exact same language immersion techniques work for a child's second language, as well!

My kids are still in elementary school. What I try to do with them is play games, using computer software although physical flash cards will work just fine, and I try to make learning Spanish words fun for them. This makes them excited to learn the language.

I took about two months a while back to really immerse myself in Spanish, and I became conversational in the language in that short time. So now, I also just speak to my kids in Spanish. Instead of asking them, "Can you give me the salt?" I ask them, "Puedes darme la sal?"

Along with flash cards, simply talking to your kids periodically in Spanish will help them learn the language. Try simply using Spanish words for common items:

apple = la manzana

orange = la naranja

video games = las videojuegas

dinner = la cena

Invite your children to "la cena," but don't tell them what it means. When they show up for dinner, ask them how they're enjoying "la cena." Let their minds figure out the puzzle.

Make Spanish for kids a priority in your house, and make it FUN, and you'll get huge rewards from it.

Romantic Spanish Phrases

By Noah M. Benjamin

Probably the best part about learning Spanish is learning all the romantic Spanish phrases. It is undeniable that Spanish is probably one of the most romantic-sounding languages in the world, and the ability to speak simple Spanish phrases to your loved one can spice up any situation. I'm going to try to give some basic romantic Spanish phrases in this article, as well as some words of warning about saying them correctly.

Romantic Spanish Phrases

Here are some common romantic Spanish phrases.

te quiero = I love you (literally means "I want you")

te amo = I love you (you really mean it!)

Sólo puede pensar en ti = I can only think of you

Te adoro = I adore you

Mi tesoro = My treasure

These should be a good start for you.

A Word of Warning

Hopefully you know about the character "Borat". If you don't, go to YouTube right now and watch some videos of him -- you'll laugh, but you'll also get my following point. Borat doesn't speak English natively, and often tries to say sexy things in English but they come out sounding ridiculous. If you don't learn how to speak basic Spanish before you try using those phrases above, you will sound like Borat! Even if your loved one doesn't know Spanish, you will sound ridiculous trying to say the above phrases. You have been warned!

I've found that I can impress the loved ones in my life far, far easier by actually speaking full phrases in Spanish. Simple two-word expressions only go so far, but actually speaking complete sentences in Spanish can melt anyone's heart.

I recommend using Spanish learning software, like Rocket Spanish or the Rosetta Stone, to build at least a little bit of a base in Spanish. Using the simple Spanish you learn from programs like these will improve your love life FAR more than a few simple Spanish phrases.

Hey, let me know if the romantic Spanish phrases worked for you!

Online Games - Spanish Games Online?

By Noah M. Benjamin

Playing online games in Spanish can be beneficial for kids and adults alike. There are numerous benefits to learning Spanish, like improved test scores for children, or job opportunities for adults. Online games in Spanish provide one of the best ways to learn Spanish, and the best part is, the best (and most beneficial) games are completely free.

First I need to explain how language is originally acquired. As a child, you picked up your first language in about two years simply by being immersed in it. You heard it everywhere you went, and eventually your brain "solved the puzzle" and figured out the language for itself. Learning your second language shouldn't be any different!

I highly recommend starting with vocabulary games. I paid for a software program to do this for me because it's a lot more fun, but you can create these games yourself using free word lists online. Simply find a way to score yourself or your kids based on retention of Spanish words. Try to beat your score every time you play.

A game I play with myself, and which my child has been playing now that he's learning Spanish, is finding a Spanish article (news, kid's story, whatever) online, and seeing how well I can translate it without errors. For example, I start with 100 points. If I mistranslate a word, I lose a point. If I leave a word blank without trying to translate, I miss two points. And so on, and so on. This forces my brain to adapt and try to figure out the meaning of words.

I also pull up videos on YouTube and play the exact same game. I listen and try to translate what's going on. Again, I play this kind of game with my kid... and he usually beats me!

Find ways to immerse yourself in Spanish and make it fun. That way you aren't following a lesson plan, but you are picking up lots of the language. These are some of my favorite online games in Spanish. Try them out -- they work surprisingly well!

Learn Spanish With the Learnspanish Method (No Joke)

By Noah M. Benjamin

If you want to learnspanish, then I want to show you the methods I used to learn conversational Spanish in just about two months. The best part of my methods? They're almost all entirely FREE.

Before you learn Spanish, you need to understand the most effective way to learn any language. As a young child, you became conversational in your first language in two years without any instruction and any prior knowledge of language. You pulled this off by surrounding yourself with that first language 24/7. Eventually, your brain adapted and it was forced to learn the language.

Use this immersion technique now as an older person and you can learn Spanish even faster, without having to immerse yourself 24/7.

First, to expedite the process, I recommend using some kind of Spanish guide to learn the basics. This is how you cut out the majority of the time you have to spend learning. I used a combination of language learning software, as well as audio programs in my car. I was able to fit in a LOT of Spanish learning in about two weeks this way.

From there, I dove into Spanish immersion. Even though I was living in the United States at the time, I simply found ways to surround myself with the language for at least one hour a day. My preferred method was watching Spanish TV shows on YouTube! I watched a lot of children's shows at first because they actually ended up being really helpful learning basic vocabulary. Next up was reading Spanish newspapers with a good translation tool. I wrote down sentences I didn't understand and then studied them and their translations.

If you immerse yourself in the language, you can learn Spanish in no time. Good luck!

Learn Spanish Vocabulary Quickly and Easily With These Tips

By Noah M. Benjamin

There's one thing that separates most great Spanish speakers from the mediocre. The answer is completely obvious: one learned Spanish vocabulary, and the other never bothered! The truth is, you don't have to learn very much Spanish vocabulary to be able to get by in Spanish. In fact, you can be nearly conversational knowing only about 200 words!

Think about when you speak English. If you know the 200 or 300 most common words in English, you can really get by just fine. Roughly 200 or 300 words in most languages make up the bulk of the language, and Spanish is no exception!

Before you get into learning Spanish vocabulary, you need to make sure you have all your Spanish grammar down very well. I'm not just talking basic grammar -- learn as much of the grammar as you possibly can before you really get into vocabulary! The reason I recommend this is because it will speed up your learning process. I found myself getting stuck as I advanced in Spanish simply because I didn't understand grammar that should have been very basic.

Next, simply find out the most common 200 or 300 words in Spanish and learn them! This DOES NOT mean just memorizing them because this will not prove very useful to you. What you need to do is write the words down, and then speak them out loud to someone else. Make sure that you are PRACTICING the words. Better yet, form sentences with them while speaking to someone who understands Spanish.

If you want to learn Spanish vocabulary, your best bet is to first find out the 200 or 300 most common words, and then PRACTICE THEM! As long as you practice these words out loud, you will find that you can converse with just about anyone in Spanish.

Learn Spanish - Software, What is the Best?

By Noah M. Benjamin

In my quest to become conversational in Spanish in about two months, I probably had the most success with the "learn Spanish" software packages I tried. It is best to use software that immerses you in the language, and I think I found the two best packages to do just that.

How To Learn Spanish

We learned our first language through immersion. That is, we were surrounded by our first language 24/7, and our brains were forced to adapt. The good news is that, if you follow a simpler version of the same technique, you can learn your second language even faster and easier.

Software Package 1: The Rosetta Stone

The first piece of software I tried was the Rosetta Stone. It gives you pictures and speaks Spanish phrases, having you match the phrases with pictures. There are a number of exercises that revolve around this basic function.

I liked Rosetta Stone at first, but as I started practicing my Spanish out in the real world, I found that the Rosetta Stone couldn't keep up with me! I got stuck in lessons that were too simple for me, and the program stayed there even though I kept passing them with 100% scores.

Also, there was no easy way to learn more vocabulary using the Rosetta Stone. I had to go through each lesson and learn whatever vocabulary it felt like teaching me.

I was also lucky to get the program for free through work because it is EXPENSIVE!

I liked the program, but felt like it moved too slow for me.

Software Package 2: Rocket Spanish

I tried Rocket Spanish almost specifically because it had a vocabulary game that interested me. What I didn't realize is how full-featured Rocket Spanish was, especially for the price I paid.

MegaVocab is the game I bought Rocket Spanish for. I use it every day to learn new Spanish vocabulary words. But I ended up using the included audio lessons far more often -- Rocket Spanish gave me lessons that I could listen to in my car to and from work. I am able to fit in about 10 hours of lessons a week this way.

On top of that, there is also a grammar guide that is easy to study, as well as more immersion software -- software that speaks Spanish to you and has you match it to scenes, just like Rosetta Stone.

For about a fourth of the price of the Rosetta Stone, and about three times the features, Rocket Spanish is easily the best "learn Spanish" software I've used.

The Bottom Line

If you want the best "learn Spanish" software, then Rocket Spanish is your best bet, and Rosetta Stone is an easy second place.

Learn Spanish Like Crazy - A Review of Learning Spanish Like Crazy

By Noah M. Benjamin

If you want to "learn Spanish like crazy," then one of the products I very highly recommend is Learning Spanish Like Crazy. The primary reason I recommend Learning Spanish Like Crazy: convenience! Let me explain.

For those who don't know, Learning Spanish Like Crazy is an audio learning program to help you speak Spanish. It is completely in MP3 or audio CD format.

I used to spend about forty-five minutes each way in my car getting to work every day. That's an hour and a half getting to work alone! This didn't include time spent getting groceries, running errands, and doing other things. Needless to say, I had to spend a lot of time in my car.

It wasn't long ago that I realized that I could take advantage of all this time in my car. How many of us just turn on the radio and tune out when we're in our car? Think of all the time we're wasting!

I picked up a copy of Learning Spanish Like Crazy, burned it to CD, and listened to it every time I drove around in my car.

The Spanish lessons are amazing, especially for the price you pay. They focus on speaking and repeating important phrases, and really immersing you in the language.

But, because I did the lessons every single time I was in my car, I ended up going through about 12 hours of lessons a week! Along with my other ventures in studying Spanish, I was able to fit a LOT of extra learning time in.

If you really want to speed up the process of learning Spanish, I HIGHLY recommend listening to some kind of Spanish audio program in your car. For the money, Learning Spanish Like Crazy is the best value you will find anywhere.

Kids Spanish Games

By Noah M. Benjamin

Any parent would be making a huge mistake not to teach their child a second language like Spanish. Children who speak a second language test higher, speak better, and retain their languages longer than children who only speak one language or learn a second language later in life. Kids Spanish games are easy to access, fun to play, and can teach a child a language in an amazingly short amount of time. The following are the games that I use with my children.

First, I want to go over how a child best learns a language. This is through immersion! This is exactly how your child learned his or her first language. By age two, he or she was conversational simply by being surrounded by the language at all times. Try to mimic this scenario for your child's second language as well!

My kids prefer playing word games. I use computer software that flashes a picture and a number of words on the screen, and the kids have to guess the right word. They get scored higher if they guess right on the first try than on the second, third, or fourth. At first I thought I was going to have to force them to play this game, but after just a couple days, I found out my computer had been hijacked by the little guys so they could play the "Spanish game"!

Of course, you can play these word games by creating flash cards as well. It is a little harder to play and score because you have to manually do everything, plus they rely on you to play, but as long as you immerse them in the language, they will benefit big-time.

Word games are my favorite form of kids Spanish games. Try them out with your children and take note of how quickly they pick up the language. After they've mastered the word games, move on to more complicated games. Good luck!

How to Speak to Kids in Spanish?

By Noah M. Benjamin

Immerse your kids in Spanish! Modern research suggests that one of the best gifts a parent can give to a child is the ability to be bilingual. Among many other benefits, knowing two languages helps a child:

Score higher on standardized tests

Master their first language

Retain their second language usually for life

On top of that, our economy is going to be completely global by the time today's kids are adults. Knowing Spanish -- the third most common language in the world -- will be a necessity for success in many fields.

But if you want your kid to be fluent with the least amount of work, start as young as possible! This is because the human brain is wired for learning patterns -- in other words, language learning -- from about ages 0 to 12. It is especially proficient at this style of learning from ages 0 to 5.

Think about when your child learned their first language. With no prior knowledge of language at all, and with no formal training, they were able to become conversational by the age of 2. This is because they were immersed in the language -- surrounded by it -- and their brain eventually forced itself to adapt and learn.

The best way to teach a child a second language? Start young and follow the same immersion process! Do not, I repeat do not put your child through formal language training because this will make them not want to learn the language.

How do you immerse your child in their second language? Easy -- just speak to them in that language! Sprinkle Spanish words into your conversations with your child. If you don't know Spanish yourself, that's not a problem -- using the right techniques, you can know enough basic Spanish to be able to benefit your child within about two weeks.

Make sure your nanny or baby sitter can speak Spanish. Have them speak only Spanish to your child. Again, through immersion, the brain will be forced to adapt and learn.

Does the child have a grandparent that speaks Spanish? See if that grandparent can live with you for a month and teach the child Spanish.

Immersing your kids in Spanish will have many, many benefits for them immediately and later in life. Teach yourself a little Spanish and you too can share in the benefits. Good luck!

How Do I Go About Teaching Children Spanish?

By Noah M. Benjamin

There are numerous benefits to teaching children Spanish. Not only are children able to very easily learn and retain a second language, but they are more likely to know it for life, it will enhance their language abilities in their first language, and bilingual children have proven to score much higher on standardized tests. But how do you go about teaching a child Spanish?

First you need to consider how your child learned his or her first language. They didn't go through any kind of formal training -- you just spoke to them in the language, and by age two, they were conversational! This is because the human brain is designed to adapt when immersed in a language like that, and it was able to pick up the words and meanings and make the child fluent.

The second language should be no different, especially for children. Find ways to immerse them in the language and they will pick it up very, very quickly!

I like to play word games with my children. I use computer software that scores them on their ability to memorize and retain words. You can just as easily use physical flash cards, though, and score your kids manually. Either way, help them learn Spanish words by making a game of it!

Spanish grammar is luckily even easier to learn than English grammar. What's the best way for children to learn Spanish grammar, though? This is where language immersion is most helpful. If you know some Spanish, simply speak to your children in Spanish! Every once in a while, say "Puedes ayudarme?" rather than "Can you help me?" This form of "light" immersion will help them pick up basic sentence structure, verb conjugation, and more.

Teaching children Spanish is one of the best gifts any parent can give their child for the benefits listed above. Go about it the right way and your child will excel!

How Can I Learn Spanish Grammar?

By Noah M. Benjamin

When trying to learn the Spanish language, there is one thing I always stress very heavily: learn Spanish grammar first! If you learn Spanish grammar, and learn it very well, you will learn Spanish very, very quickly. The good news: if you really focus and follow the right steps, you can learn most Spanish grammar in just a couple weeks.

Whereas English grammar is very complicated and has a number of odd, arbitrary rules, Spanish grammar is just the opposite: very linear, and very predictable. What I mean that is if you learn the basic rules of Spanish grammar, those rules will apply for almost every line of Spanish you speak, read, or write for the rest of your life!

The mistake that many people make is that, in the beginning, they only learn the present tense of verb conjugation. What this means is, they only learn how to say "I speak," "he speaks," "they speak," etc. They don't learn the past tense, like "I spoke," "he spoke," etc, until much later in the learning process, when they don't retain the idea very well.

What I recommend you do is learn all grammar and verb tenses in the beginning of your Spanish learning experience. Again, if you really work, you can get this done in just a few weeks!

From there, if you learn vocabulary, you will find yourself conversational in Spanish in under two months, if you follow the right processes to really learn the language.

Learn Spanish grammar before anything else and you will find yourself conversational in Spanish in no time!

Scientists have proven that children are able to retain and learn a language much easier than adults. This is because the stage of development their brain is in allows for not just better data processing, but also is better at solving "puzzles" and RETAINING information learned.

Learning a second language has also been proven to improve a child's ability to speak not just their first language, but any other language they try to learn. And in a globalizing economy, the more languages a person knows, the better!

It has also been proven that children who speak a second language perform much better on standardized tests than children who speak only one language.

The Best Way To Teach a Second Language

Do NOT treat language learning like an extra school lesson with your child! This is very ineffective, and in fact, most formal school lessons fail at teaching children language.

Think about when your child learned his or her first language. They were immersed in it 24/7, and within two years, they just kind of became fluent in it. This is how the brain is wired to learn things at a very young age! Immerse your child in the language and he or she will not only learn it very quickly, but it will also not feel like a dreaded school lesson.

Find ways to immerse your child in Spanish, and your kids will learn Spanish in no time! The benefits of doing this will last them a lifetime.

Fun Spanish

By Noah M. Benjamin

When learning any language, the most important aspect of it is to have fun! That's why I highly recommend learning some "fun Spanish" as you learn the language. But what is fun Spanish, and how can it improve the language learning process?

The Best Way To Learn a Language

First I want to get into the best way to learn a language. Think back to when you were a baby. (This is the hardest part of the exercise, I swear.) You learned your first language within about two years, and you learned it naturally, without any language lessons or without even knowing a language already. How did you do this? It was all your brain! Your brain is wired to pick up on patterns and adapt, and that's exactly what happened. You immersed yourself in your first language 24/7, and your brain adapted!

It's best to follow this same procedure for a second language, either as an adult or with your own kids.

Why and How To Make It Fun

Barely anyone learns Spanish through formal lessons like in school. What you need is a lesson plan than immerses you in the language, even with games to play to improve the process.

I used computer software for this process, and I highly recommend it for the fastest way to learn Spanish. To build your base in Spanish, it is best to have some kind of formal instruction, but preferably formal instruction that immerses you in the language.

From there, make a game of it! Try to talk Spanish with friends, and see how long you can talk Spanish without having to speak English. (I did this with a friend of mine while we were learning, and it ended up being AMAZING.)

The most important thing is to make everything feel natural, like you're just forcing your brain to "adapt" again. When everything is a lesson plan, it gets boring and fast!

What Is Fun Spanish?

You might notice I don't really share any Spanish phrases in here. That's because, to me, knowing ANY Spanish at all without having to go through formal lessons is "fun Spanish." And if you follow the lesson plans in this article, you are on your way to actually enjoying learning Spanish!

Free Kids Spanish Lessons?

By Noah M. Benjamin

It is very possible to teach your children spanish with free kids Spanish lessons. As you probably know, any parent who does not try to teach their child a second language like Spanish is really putting their kids at a disadvantage! Not only do these kids retain and learn the language usually for life, they also test higher than other kids AND have better overall language ability. And the best ways for them to learn are often completely free!

First, it's important to realize how your child learned his or her first language. Without any formal training and without any prior knowledge of language at all, your child was conversational in his or her first language within about two years simply by being surrounded by it at all times! The brain adapts very quickly when it is IMMERSED in an environment like this.

It is good to find flash card games you can play with your kids. I spent a little bit of money to have a computer program automate this for me, but you can easily make your own flash cards with free resources online. Make it fun for your kids to learn vocabulary!

From there, use all the free resources online and in your home you can to IMMERSE your kids in the language. Have them watch Spanish cartoons on YouTube, or on any Spanish channel on TV. Read Spanish children's books with them, also available online or at your local library. Once they know some of the language, watching the TV and reading children's books will be fun!

The best way to teach your kids Spanish is to immerse them in the language, just like with their first language. This is a very natural way of learning that does not feel like a lesson. Free kids Spanish "lessons" like these are actually the most beneficial lessons for your children, so try them out. Good luck!

Free and Effective Spanish Tutorials

By Noah M. Benjamin

You might be surprised by what I'm about to tell you. If you're looking for Spanish tutorials, the very best ones available in the world are absolutely FREE. But, they aren't the Spanish tutorials you think they are. In fact, most people overlook these tutorials for lessons that are far less effective!

When you were a child, you picked up your first language within two years with absolutely NO language training and NO prior knowledge of any language at all. How did you do this? By surrounding yourself with the language 24/7! This forced your brain to adapt and learn the language.

You could follow this exact process with Spanish, but the truth is, following the right techniques, you could speed up this process significantly without having to immerse yourself in the language 24/7.

I personally recommend learning the very basics of Spanish using software or audio programs that will immerse you in the language. Luckily, you only need about two weeks or so of lessons to pick enough of the basics to move on to my free "Spanish tutorials."

So, now you have the basics down. What are these FREE tutorials I'm talking about?

Simple. Turn on your TV. Tune in to the Spanish stations. There you go -- your first free lesson. Need it a little easier? Make sure to tune in when the children's shows are on.

No, I'm not joking! This step may seem VERY hard at first, but especially if you watch children's shows, you will find they speak very slowly and even illustrate the words they are mentioning. You can not only learn valuable vocabulary, but you learn the all-important habit of understanding native Spanish speakers!

This is one of the techniques I practiced to learn conversational Spanish in under two months. Any way you can immerse yourself in the Spanish language will prove to be the best Spanish tutorial you can find anywhere!

Children Spanish Lessons - Teach Your Child Spanish

By Noah M. Benjamin

If you're looking to give children Spanish lessons, you might be surprised by the best methods in which to give them. Children pick up languages very quickly and very intuitively, so listen closely!

Children learn their first language by age 2, and they end up fairly conversational at that point. They didn't have any language training, and they didn't know any language beforehand. They got this way simply by being spoken to in the language, and being IMMERSED in the language all the time.

The truth is, children up to their early teens can learn a second language exactly the same way! You can even expedite the process by turning language learning into somewhat of a game.

I prefer to use computer software to teach my children words in Spanish. I have it flash words on the screen, and it's turned into a game where they get more points dependent on how many words they get right. You, of course, could do this with physical flash cards as well.

Along with playing Spanish word games with my children, I simply try to speak to them in Spanish at any time! I will ask them, "Quieres comer ahora?" (Would you like to eat now?) They catch on surprisingly fast to what I'm saying, and retain it very well.

If you want to give your children Spanish lessons, help them learn new words, making a fun game out of it. And, secondly, just speak Spanish to them -- it will help them figure out Spanish grammar and sentence structure. Good luck!

Can I Learn Spanish Romantic Phrases?

By Noah M. Benjamin

When learning Spanish, romantic phrases are an absolute necessity. Spanish is easily one of the most romantic languages in the world, and the ability to say romantic phrases to your significant other in Spanish always impresses. I'm going to give you some easy romantic phrases, as well as some warnings about when to use them -- I'm sure you'd rather be getting "besos" (kisses) than "bofetadas" (slaps)!

Common Romantic Phrases

Here are some of the more common romantic phrases in Spanish.

te quiero = I love you (literally translates "I want you")

te amo = I love you (this is the real deal, when you mean it)

amor mío = My love

estoy enamorado = I'm in love

flechazo = Love at first sight

prenda de amor = Token of love

This should be a good starting grounds.

Some Words of Caution

I'm sure you know of the character "Borat". He is from Kazakhstan and he does interviews in English. Sound familiar? If not, look him up on YouTube. What I'm getting at is: look at how ridiculous he sounds trying to say sexy things in English. If you don't actually learn how to speak basic Spanish, you will sound like Borat trying to say the phrases I've listed above! Your significant other, whether or not he or she has any knowledge of Spanish, will most likely be turned off if you speak with a poor accent or like you don't know what you're doing.

I highly recommend spending some time learning basic Spanish, because while simple Spanish phrases can be romantic, NOTHING is more romantic than actually being able to speak whole sentences to your loved one in Spanish.

The best way to learn Spanish is through software you use on your computer. It will probably only take you about a week or two to be comfortable enough to say the phrases I have above, and about two months to be speaking full sentences. I have provided links for the best software.

Good luck with your Spanish romantic phrases!
