5 Steps to Learn to Speak Spanish Fluently in Under Two Months!

If you want to learn to speak Spanish fluently, there are only five guidelines I recommend following. These all assume you have some base of knowledge of Spanish, and will accelerate your learning like you wouldn't believe!

1. Read a Spanish newspaper. Journalists are taught to write very basically in all languages. Just like how the newspaper in English simply reports the facts in very basic English, the same goes for newspapers in Spanish. You will become immersed in the language, and will find patterns that will make you fluent very quickly. A number of Spanish language newspapers are available for free online.

2. Watch Spanish cartoons. This one throws people off-guard, but it is very effective. Watch a cartoon in English -- you will notice that the language used is very simple, but is also correct and fluent. The same concept goes for Spanish cartoons. Cartoons that are in Spanish utilize very basic Spanish, but it is also fluent and correct Spanish. Even watching English cartoons translated to Spanish will work wonders for your fluency.

3. Speak with a Spanish native. This is the absolute best way to learn to speak Spanish. Chances are, a good friend or a family member already speak Spanish, so simply ask to sit and talk with them for an hour at a time, as many times a week as you can. I decided to learn Spanish while visiting Panama on vacation, and ended up learning extremely quickly by simply sitting and speaking with a young girl who worked at the hotel I was staying at. She wanted to learn more English, so I was able to help her at the same time.

4. Use Spanish software. This is also one of my favorite tactics to learn Spanish. While I utilize the other methods, I use Spanish learning software to learn new vocabulary and practice grammar.

5. Use Spanish audio learning programs. A number of them are available and they can be very helpful. When you are stuck in traffic, or just on your way to or from work, use that time to learn extra Spanish.

These are the five tactics I utilized to learn to speak Spanish fluently. Utilize these five and you will be surprised how quickly you, too, become fluent in Spanish.
