Learn Spanish Language - The Reason Why You Must Learn a Great Language Like Spanish

By Chris J. McWilliams

Learn Spanish language - it's something that many people ask themselves every day but few actually pursue. In this article, I want to tell you why you should learn Spanish and reveal how easy it can actually be. Read on to find out more.

Why Learn Spanish?

There are many reasons to learn this great language. First of all, it is the second most widely spoken language in the world (combination of speakers and countries) after English.

Secondly, learning a language will enrich your life so much - much more than you could possibly ever imagine. Many people think that a language just allows you to talk to more people. It does so much more - it gives you access to a rich and diverse culture that you never even knew existed. It gives you a greater appreciation for life!

Third, having a second language will, on average, boost your salary by a minimum of 25%. Doors will open, promotions will be more likely, additional part-time jobs such as translation become available to you - and I haven't even started talking yet about the boost to your confidence that it will do for you and help you in life.

Is Spanish Hard To Learn?

Not at all! Many people say that Spanish is one of the easiest languages to learn.

Part of this reason is because it is mostly phonetic. You pronounce a word in the way that it looks and you are usually right!

Let me give you another example: in school I did French for three years. Next I did Spanish for just one year. In that single year of Spanish I learned as much as it took me in the three years of French. That's how much easier it is!

What Is The Best Way To Learn Spanish?

There are many ways to learn. By far the best is self study. "But what about taking classes," you might say?

Leaving the expense of regular classes aside, I would prefer to give you the example of "polyglots". A polyglot is a person who can speak many, many languages. Nearly all polyglots learned languages on their own and in their home countries. Very few of them took any formal classes.

This is because language acquisition is an "internal" thing. Your teacher cannot force a language on you - it is a matter of self-discovery.

And there is no better way to learn a language than on your own, ideally using audio plus other tools to make the process fun.
