3 Easy Ways to Learn Spanish

By Derren George

1. Grammar - avoid it at the beginning - golden tip for an easy way to learn Spanish.

By not learning grammar at the beginning (opposed to what most schools teach) you are aiming for a bigger chance to learn Spanish.

Why, you ask? Because of the curiosity factor. You see, when you are learning Spanish, the more you're immersed into it, the more you'll find some "patterns".

Why is "el" put in front of all masculine nouns and "una" before all feminine nouns? If you know even a bit of Spanish, you probably noticed this. Isn't this going to make you curious to find out more (there is a grammatical rule for this, by the way).

Now, what if I told the rule BEFORE you even noticed this pattern? Isn't this going to make you less curious?

Learning grammar before immersing yourself is the difference between you saying: "Wow, this seems interesting, let's read the reference" and "This is boring, I have already read this".

2. Do not multitask

Listening to a Spanish language tape while cooking or whatever is a no-no. Many language learning programs claim you can listen to their CDs and do something else while listening. But, they forget to tell you one very important thing.

The effectiveness of learning Spanish this way diminished significantly. The only effective way to grasp the most knowledge while learning is to LEARN WITHOUT DOING ANYTHING ELSE.

Try this while learning and you'll see the power of it.

3. Get some good tools for learning Spanish

This is one of the most important parts to consider if you're looking for an easy way to learn Spanish. There are many great programs out there to help you learn this beautiful language. Tell me More, Rocket Spanish...they are all great and easy. A good Spanish program makes the difference between you happily learning and being utterly frustrated.

Good luck in learning Spanish!
