Learn Spanish Quickly in 3 Steps

It is definitely possible to learn Spanish quickly, especially if you already speak a similar language like English very well. You just need to have patience and lots of dedication, but with those two, you will be able to learn Spanish more quickly than you ever thought possible!

Here's how I taught myself Spanish in under two months.

1. I bought Spanish language learning software that would immerse me in the language. I built my foundation in Spanish with this software. I also picked up some Spanish learning audio programs to listen to in my car to and from work. This added an extra hour and a half of Spanish lessons into my day without using up any of my time! I did this for about two weeks. I recommend doing it for at least two hours a day, but you can get by with one hour.

2. Once I had my base of Spanish, I continued with the Spanish language learning software and audio programs, but I also added one hour of conversing with a Spanish speaker. I am lucky enough to know many people who speak Spanish, but you can easily find someone online who wants to learn more English who would be willing to speak with you in Spanish for one hour a day. THIS STEP IS ABSOLUTELY CRUCIAL! It sounds strange at first, but just sitting and talking for one hour a day in Spanish will teach you more than ANYTHING else could. Do this for about two weeks.

3. Finally, while still following steps 1 and 2, I found Spanish newspapers online. I found articles about world news, and tried reading them. I kept a free online translator open next to me while I read, so I could translate sentences I didn't understand, and then study them to see why they say what they said. At first, I could only read one article in the one hour period. But after a week, I could get through three articles. After two weeks, I could get through five articles. My fluency just kept improving.

I followed these steps for only two months and I was very comfortable speaking Spanish. If you're not in a hurry, you could easily stretch these three steps out to six months or more and still learn lots of Spanish!
