Using Software to Learn to Speak Spanish Fast

I'm sure you already know all the benefits of learning to speak Spanish. That's why you're here, in fact -- you know the benefits and you're ready to get started by picking up some "learn to speak Spanish" software.

Well, then I'm going to cut through all the fluff and get you what you want!

What You Need In "Learn To Speak Spanish" Software

Not all Spanish language learning software is made alike. Some are effective, and some definitely aren't.

For an example of how not to learn a language, I want you to do me a favor: think back to when you were in high school.

You likely had to learn a language for two or more years in high school.

Now, how much of that language could you speak while you were in high school? How much of that language can you speak now?

I'm guessing "not much" for both of those answers. Yet you studied that language for two or more years!?! You wasted your time!

This all depends on your goals. Do you want to learn Spanish very quickly, or do you want to spend a couple months slowly studying the language? Do you want to only study on your computer, or do you want to utilize other efficient learning methods as well?

I personally have found the most success with the Rocket Spanish software, since it involves multiple forms of learning (and it's cheap!). I've had friends invest in the Rosetta Stone and swear by it.

Both packages are great, since they both focus on immersing you in the language, rather than instructing and lecturing you in it.

The Bottom Line

I recommend looking between primarily the Rosetta Stone and Rocket Spanish, since I've had the best experiences with those two. Find which one suits your needs best. But most importantly, don't fret too much over your choice of "learn to speak Spanish" software -- just make sure you start today!
