I have tried many different Chinese software courses, some are decent and others, not so good. When I looked online for another course to try, I saw a lot of great reviews for Rocket Chinese. I was skeptical about this new program because it was 1/3 the price of other popular programs, and figured it may only be 1/3 as good as them. Read on to learn what I found out.

Does Rocket Chinese Work?

This was the first question I asked myself. I read through many different forums, blogs, review sites. Rocket Chinese consistently ranked first for the review sites. After reading blog and forum posts, I got the impression that Rocket Chinese is really different from the other programs out there. The two things that people liked best were the focus on getting you to speak Chinese right from the get go, and the computer games that make it fun to learn vocab and grammar.

How Does It Compare To Rosetta Stone?

Rosetta Stone is pretty well known, and costs 3x more than Rocket Chinese. It seems like even though Rosetta Stone is 3x more in price, you are getting about the same learning experience, which makes Rocket Chinese a no brainer. The products are really similar in the types of tools and support it offers. Both use interactive games to help with reading, listening, and speaking. After going through free trials of both, I actually found Rocket Chinese to be easier to use, and seemed to be more flexible. But it depends on what you want.

Rocket Chinese Is Not A Scam

It's actually one of the few Chinese programs that really works. Of course, like any program, it's up to you to follow through. If you don't follow it, you won't be successful.
