Let's use an example. The word for raisins is "pasas", pronounced pah - sas.

Close your eyes for ten seconds and imagine two raisins sitting on top of your concert PASSES. This is such a simple method that all you need to do is remember words by associating them to an image. In the above example we used concert passes associated with raisins.

Let's walk through the steps of creating these word associations:

Choose a word. Let's use the word for donkey, which is BURRO. Next, we need to associate an image to the word. The image for donkey could be "imagine a donkey BURROWING into the ground". Now that you have this association, just close your eyes and concentrate on it for a few seconds. Doing this will store the word into your mind. The best part is that you have remembered the word without really trying.
